Description Justus Holzberger univentionstaff 2022-11-23 11:43:10 CET
The command `univention-install` is (in my understanding) a wrapper for `apt`, installing software "in a univention way" (some more magic to make it suitable for UCS-environments, setting things up in the background).

I'd expect a capability to search for packages i can install with it, but there is none.
Instead, the german documentation says:

> Wenn der Name eines Pakets nicht bekannt ist, kann mit dem Kommando apt-cache search nach Paketen gesucht werden.

So, users should install software with this command, but use another tool for searching (or remove packages with yet another command `univention-remove`).

Enhancement:

`univention-install` should be able to let me as a user search for packagenames i could install, without the need of another command.
