InitialValues are only set if the Setting is used in the "Install" stage. But in order to set a Setting to be in that stage, the value has to be shown in UMC.

Currently, we do not have a way of setting the InitialValue from Settings that should only be shown during the "Settings" stage. We should allow that, so that you can get sane defaults without cluttering the first installation. That way some "advanced" settings can be carefully examined by Administrators (with the help of documentation) once defaults are in place and the App is already up and running.
