The ID Connector syncs school users and classes between two UCS systems on a school basis.

What the docs do not mention is that for this a school with the same name as the sending system wants to sync has to be created first on the receiving system by hand. - It would be good to include that, otherwise one might assume that the ID Connector also creates schools that are configured to be synced.

A good place for that imo would be chapter "1.4.1. Configure receiving system".
