 :umlaut / :umlauts
 :trim / :strip

./univention-directory-manager-modules/modules/univention/admin/__init__.py has
 [index]
 :upper
 :lower
 :umlauts
 :trim / :strip

:trim and :strip should be documented: they remove surrounding blanks.

Why does .js implement ":umlaut" (without the trailing 's')?
