We could remove the titlepanes in the UMC modules to gain more space
(especially for mobile devices). Attached a prototype screenshot.

The label "Default properties" could be hidden as its meaning is clear. Alternatively, one could write it into the search field and make it disappear on focussing.

But focussing is automatically done, or has that changed (for desktops)? I do not think that writing it into the search field would really benefit the user. It is probably quite simple to implement but still too complicated for what is to gain. I would recommend waiting with such a feature until we use HTML5.

On the other hand, having the label above the search input, one may <label title="Username, First name, Last name, ...">. This would not help a mobile user, though.

As the design is adapted for UCS4 (Bug 35654), this bug will be obsolete.
