Since UCS 3.2 the UMC overview page has been adapted to a two column layout with the module description. It could be helpful to make the view switchable between this detailed view and a simplified view similar to those of UCS 3.1-x with only icon and module name.

Maybe even add the option for a 'small' view, where the icons are half their current size and are packed more tightly together with less whitespace. This allows more icons to be visible at the same time, and reduces the amount of scrolling in the umc overview.

If this were a simple option in GalleryPane it could be used in the Installed Apps module. Currently I have to hardcode some CSS in there.

UCS 4.0 enhanced this because there are now more categories and you can have a 4 column view instead of only 2 columns.
@Alex: do you think we can close this as WORKSFORME?
