Description Alexander Kläser univentionstaff 2013-08-22 18:16:17 CEST
From Bug 31699, comment #16:
> ...
> The search is nice; a key shortcut to go directly to the search text would
> improve the usability.
Comment 1 Dirk Wiesenthal univentionstaff 2013-09-10 16:43:13 CEST
I would appreciate it if "Return" would open the first search result in the list, at least if it is the only one.
Comment 2 Janis Meybohm univentionstaff 2013-10-11 13:14:11 CEST
Instead or in addition to a shortcut it would be nice to have the search field selected by default when entering the overview tab. One could start to type in what he wants to do directly after loading the page:

-> page open
type: user ENTER
-> user module

This should be already the case (the startup dialogue will steal the focus, though, but this will only be displayed once).

This issue has been filed against UCS 3. UCS 3 is out of the normal maintenance and many UCS components have vastly changed in UCS 4.

If this issue is still valid, please change the version to a newer UCS version otherwise this issue will be automatically closed in the next weeks.

patch

This patch adds the following features:
- focusing the search with Ctr+Enter
- forward and backward tabbing through the search results (with tab/shift+tab)
- opening the focused module with Enter key

If this issue still occurs in newer UCS versions, please use "Clone this bug" or reopen it and update the UCS version. In this case please provide detailed information on how this issue is affecting you.
