Description Felix Botner univentionstaff 2013-10-29 09:25:19 CET
After playing around in the UMC a little bit there a too many UMC notifications. Maybe we could only display new info by default and add a kind of "expand history" button.
Comment 1 Erik Damrose univentionstaff 2013-10-31 16:02:08 CET
The concept of a 'throwaway' or 'one-time' notification should be reintroduced. If a user, computer, etc... is created, a notification was shown in ucs 3.1 that slowly moved to the top and disappeared.

This gave the user a quick reassurance that everything worked as expected and no error occurred.

With the current implementation the notifications add up in the new notification bar, increase the visible notification count and stay there until the user logs out. To make matters worse, UCS@School displays 2 notifications for some actions, e.g. add a student or computer.

See Bug#33196 for modules that need to use this functionality if it gets implemented

See also hint at Bug 33242.

I would like that clicking on a free area of the notification closes that dialog. (like the behavior everywhere e.g. in KDE, Gnome, other websites)

This issue has been filed against UCS 3. UCS 3 is out of the normal maintenance and many UCS components have vastly changed in UCS 4.

If this issue is still valid, please change the version to a newer UCS version otherwise this issue will be automatically closed in the next weeks.
Comment 7 Stefan Gohmann univentionstaff 2017-08-08 07:11:26 CEST
This issue has been filed against UCS 3.2.

UCS 3.2 is out of maintenance and many UCS components have vastly changed in later releases. Thus, this issue is now being closed.

If this issue still occurs in newer UCS versions, please use "Clone this bug" or reopen this issue. In this case please provide detailed information on how this issue is affecting you.
