Univention Bugzilla – Bug 33618
Firefox is using > 80% CPU when the grid is shown
Last modified: 2023-03-25 06:47:15 CET
In some grids (UVMM, UDM, but not UCR) the Firefox process uses *a lot* of CPU time. Not seen in Chromium. Only seen when the grid is populated. Only seen when the tab is actually visible (i.e. when using another Firefox tab, it goes down. When editing a user object (DetailPage is shown), it goes down).
Hm, maybe the easiest option would be to use dgrid as it is more lightweight and faster.
I think I found it: Happens only when grid buttons are shown. If the button list is hidden (because every action is context action and no row is selected) everything is fine. The problem seems to be that in case the grid buttons are shown, each button (even something like module button "Cancel" below the grid!) is redrawn several times per second.
(In reply to Dirk Wiesenthal from comment #2) > I think I found it: ... cool :) !
Will be obsolete by Bug #32027 and maybe not anymore present with the lastest firefox version. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 32027 ***
OK: duplicate. If there are any performance issues open a new bug.
