system not reachable anymore

hi there, its nice to see, that the Univention Management Web Console got a really great improvment. I like the new implementation much but i got some issues as well. 2 Points that i've found out: 1st) the Web UI displays that the appication server isn't reachable anymore. Only a relog or sometimes a restart of the whole virtual machine fixes my issue temporarly. i haven't looked at the log at the moment because its my first installation of UCS 4.0. 2nd) what i'm missing is the integration of freeradius at the Web UI (e.g. clients.conf and eap.conf). those are the only files that needs to be edited directly at the shell. Most of the VPN/WLAN Providers are outside of the server. This would be nice if it'll be integrated in future. for sure! i'm using firefox @ Windows 8.1. The OS wasn't selectable. Greetings Marcus
addon to 1st): i've changed the IP from dhcp to static after install and got those issues. don't know if it helps but that's the only difference.

Please upgrade to the latest errata update before and enable a higher debug level via the command line: ucr set umc/{module,server}/debug/level=4 /etc/init.d/univention-management-console-server restart /etc/init.d/univention-management-console-web-server restart Once you experience the problem you can check whether both services (UMC server & UMC web server) are running, e.g. via: pgrep -fl management This command should list both services, similar to the following output: > 3501 /usr/bin/python2.7 /usr/sbin/univention-management-console-web-server start > 18249 /usr/bin/python2.7 /usr/sbin/univention-management-console-server restart > 2nd) what i'm missing is the integration of freeradius at the Web UI (e.g. > clients.conf and eap.conf). those are the only files that needs to be edited > directly at the shell. I created Bug 37522 (and added you to the CC list) for this issue in order to separately track this feature request. I assume you have installed the radius app on your system. UCS 4.0 is out of maintenance. Since this bug did not occur again it's getting closed. If it occurs again you can use "Clone this Bug".
