I added the README files on an extra tab.

When saving "BARFOO" to README_UPDATE, this value is stored in:
/var/lib/univention-appcenter-selfservice/appcenter/univention-repository/4.1/maintained/component/testapp_20161107111034/READMEUPDATE_EN:BARFOO
