Description Telirand 2022-03-22 04:16:55 CET
If you go into a group, then "add" , to add a user
the list includes ALL users INCLUDING users that are already listed in the group.

If i remember
in the past the list did not include users that were already members of the group

as it stands now, you can multiple add the same users into the group again.

This is nonsense for a group such as "domain users", where if you have several hundred users already in the list, and they appear in the add list, how can you separate what needs to be added.

Yes, this feature has been implemented in Bug #37799.

I cannot reproduce this error, the behavior still works on my Systems.

Comment 3 Telirand 2022-03-22 12:47:05 CET
here is an example.
this was perfectly fine a couple of UCS revisions ago

the lists were correctly filtered.
now they are almost identical.

The group users are being duplicated un the add list

I believe you. Can you tell how many user objects you have in the environment? More than 2000 ?
Comment 5 Telirand 2022-03-22 12:53:50 CET
Barely a couple of hundred... 150?
like i say it was fine a few weeks ago.

I'm suspecting a unicode issue...
becasue in the past, it did it with maybe 1 or 2 users.
and you see the "add" list is actually missing some users...

Can you open the developer tools (Ctrl-Shift-I in Chrome) and paste the (anonymized) contents of the console output?
Maybe there are error message or stack traces.

It does not contain anything unusual.
Comment 9 Telirand 2022-03-25 02:14:06 CET
Then the only thing I can think of is the unicode comparisons

say for example if the "A-Z" is inputted as a multi-byte character mapping from a Chinese keyboard.

it looks" like "A-Z" but is it "A-Z" as compared to a western style keyboard.
or does it contain, trailing/leading characters that are invisible.

But it was a lot better previously, however if you check your bug filings,
you will see i have posted problems before about duplicate names,
and missing searches
 but never this bad.
