Description Michael Grandjean univentionstaff 2015-04-03 14:09:51 CEST
This is based on a feature request from a UCS@school workshop attendee:

The mails send via the helpdesk module should be extended to contain additional information that are important to the helpdesk team:

- the affected school
- name of the user that sent the mail
- a possibility to contact the user that sent the mail (e.g. mail adress, phone number ...)

It would be really nice if this information could be automatically retrieved based on the currently logged in user.

Well, this is already the case. My bad.
But it would be an improvement if not the username/uid is submitted, but also the full name (displayName maybe?). Additionally, a contact possibility (mail, phone) might be helpful.

Bug 37593 suggests to set the sender address to the user's mailPrimaryAddress.
Comment 3 Sönke Schwardt-Krummrich univentionstaff 2015-04-10 15:19:51 CEST
The mail body should contain:
- school
- display name + username
- mailPrimaryAddress + mailAlternativeAddress + mail
- phone number
- problem category
- message

The mail header should reuse the mailPrimaryAddress if the LDAP attribute is set. Otherwise the module should fall back to the current behaviour.

Please also fix the mail encoding if there is an easy fix.
Comment 4 Florian Best univentionstaff 2015-04-17 13:35:57 CEST
All wanted fields are included.
Mail encoding was fixed via Bug #36739.

Package: ucs-school-umc-helpdesk
Fix: svn r59786

OK - debian/changelog
OK - xml /changelog
OK - The mail header should reuse the mailPrimaryAddress if the LDAP attribute is set.
