Description Stefan Gohmann univentionstaff 2013-07-17 06:34:35 CEST
Currently we have no extra button to request the key id. Sure you can click on "Install this App", but this is not very intuitive.

I think on the Settings → License dialog where the current license is displayed, there could be added a button "Request Key ID" if no Key ID is in the current license, for example:

----------------------------------------------------------
....
Servers with standard support 0
Servers with premium support 0
Key ID Request Key ID
Expiry date 30.11.2013
----------------------------------------------------------

The text from Bug #30629 should be adjusted when this bug is fixed.

We could also add another button to the App Dialog:

[Request Key ID] [Install] [Close]

The first two buttons leading to the same Request Key ID dialog (or the message that this has to be done as Administrator on DC Master.

As the new license is used for nothing but the App Center doesn't it make sense that such a dedicated button is present in the App Center?

It is still confusion because you have to open an app to get a new license on the master. For me it makes no sense.

Via Bug 30811, the license dialog will be merged with the app center activation. With this change, the bug will be fixed as I see it.
